Salzburg Together Against Obesity (SALTO) is a community-based programme which aims to prevent childhood obesity, especially in the 4 to 6-year age group. It is implemented in the kindergartens of the federal state of Salzburg, Austria. The goal is to establish healthy behaviour, in particular, healthy eating and physical activity among children and thus increase the number of children starting school with a healthy body weight.
